England and Australia support BCCI's decision

India decision not to play the Champions Trophy in Pakistan is getting the support of the cricket boards of England and Australia. BCCI's decision not to play in Pakistan and then changing the venue will also get the support of the cricket boards of other countries in the ICC meeting. One big reason is that players from all other boards except Pakistan play in the IPL. SLC President Shammi Silva told Dainik Bhaskar that the final decision will be taken in the ICC Board meeting. The team got hosting for the first time since 1996

According to media reports, the PCB has submitted the draft of the tournament venue to the ICC. The tournament is to be held in February-March next year. This is the first time since the ODI World Cup 1996 that Pakistan has been given the hosting of an ICC event.

PCB Chairman finalized the schedule of 15 matches

The Champions Trophy 2025 will be played from February 19 to March 9 next year, with March 10 being the reserve day for the final. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent the draft of 15 matches of the tournament to the ICC. The ICC will approve this schedule only after taking consent from the boards of the 8 teams participating in the tournament.

Pakistan may face its biggest rival India in Lahore on 1 March 2025. However, BCCI has not yet given its consent for this match. A senior member of the ICC board gave this information to PTI on Wednesday.

PCB had sent a proposal to hold all India's matches in Lahore

According to the report, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has sent a schedule of 15 matches to the ICC for the Champions Trophy 2025. In which all India's matches have been kept in Lahore due to security reasons.

Asia Cup matches were held in Sri Lanka at India's request

Last year also, Pakistan got the hosting of Asia Cup. Even then, when India did not go there, this tournament was held on the 'hybrid model'. India's matches were held in Sri Lanka. In the final match held in Colombo, the Indian team won the championship by defeating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets.
