The next season of IPL will start from March 14 and its final will be played on May 25. IPL has given this information in an email sent to the teams on Thursday. According to the media, IPL has sent a draft schedule of the next three seasons to all the teams, but it is likely that these will be the final dates.
The 2026 season will be played between March 15 and May 31, while the 2027 season will be played between March 14 and May 30. There will be 74 matches in the 2025 season, which is equal to the previous three seasons. However, no official statement has come from IPL or BCCI about this so far.

In the email sent by IPL, it has been claimed that foreign players have agreed to their availability for the next three seasons. Foreign players have got permission from their board to play during this period. Pakistan is not included in this.
The Australia Cricket Board has approved both its domestic and international cricketers to play in the IPL 2025 season. After the T20 World Cup to be held in February-March 2026, the Australian team will play a three-match ODI series with Pakistan. This series will end before March 18. During the 2027 season, a single Test will be played between Australia and England in March to commemorate the completion of 150 years of Test cricket. After that Australian players will be available for IPL.
The England and Wales Cricket Board has also given a list of players included in the central contract, who will be available in the next three seasons of IPL. However, the name of England's Test captain Ben Stokes is missing from this list. Stokes is not included in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The list of players who will be fully available between 2025 and 2027 includes Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jonny Bairstow, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler, Brydon Carse, Jack Crawley, Sam Curran, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Liam Livingstone, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Ollie Stone and Reece Topley.
Sri Lanka Cricket has said that its players will be fully available for the 2025 season. Players retained before 2026 and 2027 will be available again.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has sent 13 names with different availability for each player over a period of three years. This list includes Taskin Ahmed, Liton Das, Mahedi Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan, Rishad Hussain, Tauhid Hridoy, Shoriful Islam, Shohidul Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Mehdi Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Nahid Rana, Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
Apart from this, players from South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe will be fully available.
