On March 27, the Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by a commanding five wickets in the seventh Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. With this victory, LSG achieved their first victory of the season, while SRH suffered their first defeat.

LSG finished at 193/5 after reaching the score in 16.1 overs while chasing a goal of 191. With a quick 60 off 30 balls, Nicholas Pooran lead the chase, helped along by Mitchell Marsh's 45 runs. Toward the end, Abdul Samad delivered a rapid 22 off 8 balls to guarantee the win.
