Match :Pakistan Tour of Bangladesh 2021-Test

Date & Time: 4th Dec 2021, Saturday, 9:30 AM IST

Venue: Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

Pitch Report :

The conditions are expected to be spin-friendly from the very start.
In all likelihood, this is going to be a low-scoring match where the batsmen will have to struggle. Don’t count out Bangladesh as they are very dangerous in such conditions.

Weather Report :

While there might be cloud cover during all five days of the Test match, there is a possibility of rain between Day 2 and Day 4. Temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Probable XI :

Pakistan: Abdullah Shafique, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam (C), Fawad Alam, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Faheem Ashraf, Nauman Ali, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Sajid Khan.

Bangladesh : Shadman Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Mominul Haque (C), Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das (WK), Mehidy Hasan, Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain, Nurul Hasan.

Preview :

Pakistan dominated Bangladesh in the first Test and rose to second place in the WTC rankings with that win. It is now going to hope to keep the momentum going by doing something similar in the second Test Match.

Bangladesh will be hoping for something better in this match, though. The match is going to be played in Dhaka where the conditions are going to be tailor-made for the home team. The return of Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed also adds some much-needed reinforcement to the squad strength.

Bangladesh did a few things right in the first Test match that saw it put up a decent total on the board and also get a 48 run lead. The surface, though, did not experience the kind of degradation that was expected and Bangladesh’s batting just collapsed in the second inning.

One thing is certain that the surface is going to be much more difficult to bat on during the second test and so the struggles of the batsmen could continue. Instead of trying to guess which batsmen will be able to handle the conditions, we advise betting against the batsmen in this match.

The Over/Under betting markets for each batsman are an excellent place to start. You can also look at the ‘To Score A Century’ betting market for Bangladesh in this match and bet against anyone getting a century.

Bangladesh’s spinners bowled quite well for the most part and are only going to be more effective in helpful conditions. Taijul Islam, Mahedy Hasan, and Shakib Al Hasan will bowl the bulk of overs and get the bulk of the wickets.

With his performance in the first match to give him confidence, we think Taijul Islam is an excellent choice for the Top Bowler Bangladesh betting market.

Pakistan is expected to play the same team that won the first Test with so much ease. There were a few standout performers like Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi with the ball while Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique batted very well in both innings.

There is no doubt that Pakistan is a stronger team but we don’t think it is unbeatable in the conditions that Bangladesh is likely to throw at it. This is where the risk/reward calculations come into play.

The odds on Pakistan to win this match are very short and the same goes for most of their individual player betting markets as well. As a punter, we would advise betting against the Pakistani batsmen because this next Test could be a low-scoring one.

Team Guide

Make various team combination with the help of these information.

Wicketkeeper :

Liton Das

Liton Das has got big runs in Test cricket this year. The Bangladesh wicket-keeper batter has amassed 543 runs at an average of 54.30 which includes five fifties and a hundred. He had scores of 114 & 59 in the first Test.

Mohammad Rizwan

Rizwan is a wicket-keeper batsman who will bat in middle order. His recent form is excellent and he is consistently scoring runs. He is very strong towards leg-side and will keep the scoreboard ticking.

Batter :

Babar Azam

Babar Azam is going through a rough patch in this tour, as he scored only 23 runs in the 1st Test of the series. However, he is a player of sheer quality and can find his form back anytime.

Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim played a rescue act in the first innings of the first Test and scored valuable 91 runs which helped his side to get past the score of 300 run-mark.

Abid Ali

Abid Ali was astonishing in the first Test against Bangladesh. He scored a remarkable 133 runs in the first innings and followed it by 91 runs in the second innings.

Mominul Haque

Mominul Haque may have flopped in the first Test but the Bangladesh captain has been in good touch this year. The left-hander has got 495 runs at an average of 49.50 in 2021.

Abdullah Shafique

Abdullah Shafique had an impressive start to his Test career. The 22-year-old Sialkot-born batter recorded twin half-centuries on debut. Thus, he can be backed as one of the batting options

Azhar Ali

Azhar Ali is a Test specialist and also a great competitor. He managed to score 24 runs in the first Test and will be a decent budget option.

All-rounder :

Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan is all set to return to the playing XI for Bangladesh. He has played just two Tests in 2021 (71 runs in three innings and five wickets) but the left-handed all-rounder can have a huge impact with both bat and ball. Thus, he can be backed as fantasy captain.

Faheem Ashraf

Faheem Ashraf is the premier all-rounder for Pakistan in the longest format of the game. He scored useful 38 runs in the first Test and scalped 2 wickets with the ball.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz will be your top pick in the all-rounder's category. He managed to score 49 runs and scalped 2 wickets in the first Test against Pakistan.

Bowler :

Shaheen Afridi

Shaheen Afridi also picked up 7 wickets in the previous game and will be among the top fantasy picks for this match once again. He will be aiming for another successful outing here.

Taijul Islam

Taijul Islam is a must-pick among the bowlers. The left-arm spinner has returned with 28 wickets in five Test matches this year. In the first Test, he had figures of 7/116 and 1/89.

Hasan Ali

Hasan Ali has been in stellar form with the ball in the longest format this year. The 27-year-old fast bowler has picked up 39 wickets at an average of 15.94 and he is striking once every 31 deliveries. He can also tonk it around with the bat.

Nauman Ali

Nauman Ali could be punted upon as vice-captain. The left-arm spinner didn't pick any wickets in the first Test but he is going to be Pakistan's premier spinner. With the track at Dhaka likely to assist the spinners, he will be in business. He has taken 19 wickets at an average of 23.94 in six Tests.

Sajid Khan

Sajid Khan is coming off 4 wickets from his previous outing and will be hoping to deliver once again in this match with the ball early on.
