Pitch Report :

The pitch at the Cazaly’s Stadium a bowling-friendly one, and offers great assistance to both pacers and spinners. Batsmen will have to spend quality time in the middle to get going here, but the pacers are likely to dominate the proceedings. The fact that this is a day-night game does remove the early morning advantage that the bowlers have that batsmen should relish batting at what would arguably be the best time to bat. Having said that, there's been showers around here in the last few days and we might see the surface to be a little damp early on in the innings. Chasing could be the preferred option upon winning the toss.

The average first innings score on this wicket is 126 runs. (But expected 260 runs in this match because of it's a day night match)

Weather Report :

The temperature is expected to hover around 24°C on the Sunday with 70% humidity and 15 km/hr wind speed. There are no chances of rain during the game.

Probable XI :

Australia:

Aaron Finch (c), Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Josh Inglis, Alex Carey (wk), Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Ellis, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Adam Zampa.

New Zealand :

Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson (c), Tom Latham (wk), Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell, Matt Henry, Trent Boult, and Tim Southee.

Preview :

Australia will lock horns with New Zealand for the third and final fixture of the ODI series at Cazaly's Stadium, Cairns. Australia have already secured an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series and would look to complete a series whitewash. However, they will miss the services of David Warner and Marcus Stonis, and the likes of Cameron Green and Josh Inglis might replace them. Furthermore, this fixture will mark the last ODI of the skipper Aaron Finch as well.

On the other hand, New Zealand are in a spot of bother with the failure of their batting unit in both matches. On the flip side, their bowling unit has done well and would look to continue the momentum in this fixture to give a much-needed push to end the Tour on a high. The likes of Trent Boult and Matt Henry will be key for them.
