Preview :

Australia (AUS) will be up against West Indies (WI) in the 2nd T20I of the West Indies tour of Australia at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on February 11. After utter domination in the ODI series, Australia started their domination in the T20Is as well and won the first game easily. However, this is a format where the Windies are the strongest and would be eyeing a comeback in the second game.
Both these teams had squared off against each other in the first game of the series which was played at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart where West Indies won the toss and elected to field. Australians were sensational right from the start as both their openers looked in brilliant touch. Especially, David Warner looked dangerous and played a fantastic knock of 70 off 36 balls. The middle order did falter in the middle but then the pair of Tim David and Matthew Wade gave them the dream finish and they ended up with a total of 213 runs on the board.

A target of 214 was not something that could not have been achieved, especially for the dangerous batting lineup of the West Indies. They needed to start well and they got so as well. They had an opening stand of 89 runs where Brandon King smashed a half-century. Johnson Charles also played a good knock of 42. However, similar to their opponents, the batters to follow could not continue it well but the difference between both the innings came out to be the partnership Tim and Wade had made down the order. The Windies eventually lost the game by 11 runs.
