The pitch is flat, even-paced, and becomes even better to bat on under the lights. There is a lot of dew that comes in and makes the conditions very difficult to defend in. The spinners will have a tough time as the ball skids onto the bat.

Preview :

For the first time in the history of the IPL, the Chennai Super Kings have lost their first two matches of the season. Things look a bit dire for CSK as its bowling lineup comes under the scanner. Its next IPL 2022 match is going to be against the Punjab Kings who also lost their previous match against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
PBKS has put together a dangerous lineup that is certainly capable of causing havoc but its high-risk approach also comes with the possibility of failure.

CSK is under a bit of pressure coming into this match. Two losses to start IPL 2022 have made things tougher for it than CSK is used to. Not everything is doom and gloom, though. CSK scored 210 in the previous match and batted very well. Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, and the entire middle- order played a crucial role.
The only batsman to miss out was Ruturaj Gaikwad but it is only a matter of time before he gets in the runs as well. The real problem for CSK has been its bowling.
The spinners have found it very difficult to have any sort of impact on the flat batting pitches that we have seen so far and the fast-bowling resources for CSK are very thin. Mukesh Chaudhary and Tushar Deshpande were the leading fast bowlers for the team in the previous match.

The Punjab Kings lost early wickets against the Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous match and ended up losing too many wickets. They did show a lot of intent along the way and we think a couple of matches where such an approach backfires is to be expected.
On paper, PBKS has a very solid batting lineup. Mayank Aggarwal and Shikhar Dhawan form the opening pair followed by the hugely impressive Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Liam Livingstone, and the big hitters. Raj Bawa has found life in the IPL a bit tough and there are still a few question marks over the temperament of Shahrukh Khan and Odean Smith,
PBKS has not had many runs from its opening duo so far and Liam Livingstone is short of runs in the IPL as well. The batting lineup has a lot of potential but it has not been able to deliver that so far. As a bettor, you want to be careful how much you lay faith in what a team can do rather than what it is actually doing.

Team Guide

Make various team combination with the help of these information.

Wicket keepers :

MS Dhoni:

Dhoni has been brilliant with the bat in this tournament, So far both the matches of the season have been not out, scoring 50 runs in the first match & 16 runs in the second match, rewinding the clock and scoring quick runs in the lower middle-order. There is some doubt over who among Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Jonny Bairstow will make the cut as the PBKS keeper. Punt pick.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa :

Bhanuka played a blistering innings of 31 runs in just 9 balls while hitting virtual in the last match. He has stacked 74 runs in this tournament so far. He has looked in outstanding touch in this tournament and can make a significant impact once again here. Very good pick in wicket keeper section.

Jonny Barstow :

Jonny Bairstow is out of quarantine and might possibly replace Banuka Rajapaksa in the playing 11, If we play today's match then it can prove to be very useful. He has so far scored 738 runs in 28 matches in his IPL career, at an impressive average of 41. Must have pick if plays.

Batter :

Shikhar Dhawan:

Shikhar Dhawan smashed 433 runs at an average of 54.13 against CSK.He scored 43 runs in the first match and 16 runs in the second match. His innings in the first match was a match winning innings and will be a top captaincy choice for this match.

Mayank Agrawal :

Mayank Agarwal got a good start in the first match where he scored 32 runs. Butt was dismissed early after scoring only 1 run in the last match. He has scored 2164 runs in 102 matches of his IPL career. Very good batsmen. Big innings will be expected in this match.
Agarwal is a must-have for your CSK vs PBKS Dream11 fantasy team.

Robin Uthappa:

Robin Uthappa batted very explosively while opening the innings in the last match. He scored 50 runs off just 27 balls. Uthappa will exploit the first 6 overs and can score big in this game. He will be a top captaincy choice as well.

Rituraj Gaikwad:

Ruturaj Gaikwad had won the Orange Cap in the previous season but has not got the starts in both the matches this IPL, he looked totally out of form appeared in both the matches so far this season.
In his IPL career so far, he has scored 840 runs in 24 matches at an impressive average of 42. Can play big innings in this match. Excellent captaincy pick for the Grand League.

Shivam Dube :

Shivam Dube played a fantastic knock in the last game against Lucknow. He scored 49 runs off 30 balls and But this season he is not proving so useful with bowling. Bowled 1-1 over in both the matches, proved to be very expensive in both and could not get any wicket. Dube will be a top budget option for fantasy team.

Ambati Rayudu :

He has got a very good start in both where he scored 15 runs in the first match and 27 runs in the second match. Very good players. Big innings will be expected in this match. He has 3858 runs in his IPL career so far, good pick.

All-rounder :

Moeen Ali :

Moeen Ali scored a quickfire 35 of 22 against Lucknow in his debut for the season. He also bowled an over and is a capable contributor with the ball as well. He has 701 runs & also 16 wickets with bowl, he will be a decent captain pick.

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is one of the most prominent players for his team. He is a match-winner who can turn the game anytime with his incredible all-around ability. Jadeja has been wicket less so far this season, He played a decent innings of 26 runs in the first match and 17 runs in the second match with the same bat. He can reap rewards for your fantasy team in this match as a captain or vice captain.

Dwaine Pretorius:

Pretorius played his first game for CSK and impressed a lot with the ball. He picked up 2 wickets and bowled economically in very challenging conditions for the bowlers. He will bowl in the death overs and can contribute with the bat as well. Pretorius will be a great punt pick in your fantasy team.

Liam Livingstone :

Livingstone got a very good start with the batting in both the matches but could not convert the starts into big scores. On the other hand, when it comes to bowling, no wicket has been taken in both the matches. He has scored 150 runs in 11 matches of IPL and he has not been able to take any wicket in IPL so far. Good pick.

Odean Smith :

Smith took 1 wicket in the last match. Played a match-winning innings against RCB with the bat on 8 balls of 25 runs. If seen, on the strength of its bowling and hitting, it will prove to be very useful for this match.

Bowler :

Dwayne Bravo :

The veteran fast bowler has picked 4 wickets from two games so far and will once again be the key bowler for CSK in this game and he has the experience to deal with the dew. Not only with bowl he is also a useful handy batter best choice for c/vc in this match.

Kagiso Rabada :

The first match of the season was very good for Rabada. He played a valuable innings of 25 runs with the first, while also took 1 wicket with the ball. In 51 matches of his IPL career , in which he has taken 77 wickets so far. Must have pick in bowling section.

Rahul Chahar :

Rahul Chahar is the leading wicket taker for PBKS with 3 wickets at an economy of just 4.37. He was excellent in the last match against Kolkata Knight Riders, with figures of 2/13. Very good pick.
