Preview :

Delhi Capitals will be squaring off against Lucknow Super Giants for the second time in the forty-fifth match of this season of the Tata IPL. A match that would pretty much govern the fate of the two sides. Both sides are well in it to get to the next round but a loss here is something that both things sides would not want to even think of. The match between the two sides is to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 1st May 2022. a match that would pretty much govern the fate of the two sides. Both sides are well in it to get to the next round but a loss here is something that both things sides would not want to even think of. The match between the two sides is to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on 1st May 2022.

Delhi Capitals were one of the most fearsome side to walk into the tournament. Not that they no longer carry that tag, their performance certainly does not go hand in hand with the kind of reputation their batsmen come with. They still have six matches to go but that number might not sound enough if they are not able to register a win in this upcoming match.
As it currently stands on the points table, Delhi Capitals are placed at the sixth spot with eight points in as many games. They have followed the trajectory of lose-one, win-one from their last six matches and will want to impart some consistency to what has do far been a lackluster campaign for them.
Not only on the field have they bottled, the decision taken by the management and the skipper at times have been questionable. Consequently, they have a poor net run rate as well and would want to improve that too as it can prove to be a crucial difference in the back-end of the competition.

Lucknow Super Giants can consider lucky to be floating in the top half of the points table, especially with the kind of outing they had in their last evening. They lost momentum after a decent start, to an extent that KL Rahul was fuming at the end of the first innings. Their bowlers, however, had other ideas as they managed to restrict Punjab Kings with considerable ease.
Lucknow Super Giants are in a superb position as at the points table and another win here will push them a lot closer to not only securing a playoff spot but also to the occupation of the two two.

Wicket-Keeper:

KL Rahul :

KL Rahul has been in fantastic form over the last few games with 374 runs from his last 9 outings. He was not at his best in the last match got out on a just 6 runs. He has already hit two hundreds and a fifty. He loves batting at Wankhede scored 597 runs with the average of 59.70, in 12 matches. Rahul's ability to score big runs at the top of the order makes him another safe choice for captaincy or vice-captaincy in this match.

Rishabh Pant :

Rishabh Pant has played some amazing innings in the top order. Before his score of two against KKR, Pant had struck scores of 43, 39* (vs LSG), 37, 34 and 44 in his previous five knocks. Overall he scored 190 runs in 8 matches. The DC skipper seems due for a big innings pretty soon. Must have pick from DC.

Quinton de Kock :

Quinton de Kock is key for LSG. He's more effective in the powerplay overs and should get some quick runs early on. scored 46 runs in last match against PBKS. De kock scored 80 (52) vs DC earlier in IPL 2022, overall he's smashed 271 runs from his 9 matches this season. Another good choice for c/vc for this match.

He has made scores of 66, 28 and 42 at the Wankhede this season,
Warner. will be a top pick as fantasy captain.

Prithvi shaw :

After misfiring in the first few games, Powell has scored good runs for Delhi Capitals. Powell has smashed 36 (15) and 33* (16) in his past two knocks. He almost took them to a victory against Rajasthan Royals and he did the same against KKR. Hit or miss type plyer.

Mitchell Marsh :

Marsh made a comeback to the playing Xi after recovering from Covid and the management should give a longer rope in the remaining season. He was slotted in at number three by the DC management. He scored 13 off 7 balls. He is a good allrounder but didn't bowl till now. Must have pick.

Marcus Stoinis :

Marcus Stoinis started the season by scoring 38 runs in just 17 balls against Rajasthan. After that, he could not do anything special in the next four matches. Was out on a golden duck against Mumbai and could only score 1 run against Punjab in the last match. Along with batting, he can also bowl well. He took 1 wicket against Mumbai. Mustafizur Rahman :

Mustafizur Rahman is the one of the best bowler in initial stage of match. Bowling brilliantly in the last match, took three wickets for just 18 runs in 4 overs against KKR. Similar performance will be expected in this match as well. Solid c/vc choice.

Dushmantha Chameera bowled with decent line and length in the last match which earned him 2 wickets at an economy6 rate of 4.25. He has picked up 7 wickets in 7 matches at an economy of 7.80. He is an expert in bowling in the opening overs of the match as well as in the death overs, due to which they have more chances of getting wickets. Best pick from bowling department.

Khaleel Ahmed :

Khaleel Ahmed is doing a great job with bowling for DC in this tournament. He's sit out the last match due to a hamstring niggle.
