Preview :

England will be up against New Zealand in the 4th ODI match of the New Zealand Tour of England at the Lord's in London on September 15. The series is led by England, with two wins from three matches. New Zealand would be looking forward to winning this match and making a draw to the series.

The last match of the series between these two teams was played at the Kennington Oval in London, where New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl. England did not start well, losing their first wicket on a duck, and soon the second wicket followed. When England looked in trouble came their Superman, who is now used to playing sensational match-winning knocks for them. Ben Stokes played a mammoth inning of 182 runs, which is the highest ever by an English player, and helped England put up a total of 368 runs.

The chase of 369 was never going to be easy for any team in the world and to go anywhere near that total. New Zealand had to make a great start, which they unfortunately could not. They lost their first wicket at the score of 18 and kept losing wickets one after the other. Only Glenn Phillips could play a good knock of 76 runs, but he did not get any good partnerships from the other end, and New Zealand was bowled out for a mere total of 187 runs, losing the match by a huge margin of 181 runs.
