Pitch Report :
The conditions in Dubai have been very good for cricket. The evenings are not cool but they are pleasant and the pitch is very good for batting. This is a surface where a minimum of 160-170 is needed to defend as the ball comes on very nicely onto the bat once the dew starts to fall.
Weather Report :
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Dubai would be 33°C. The humidity would be around 61%.

Preview :
New Zealand take on Scotland on Wednesday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. New Zealand are coming into this game on the back of a morale-boosting 8-wicket win over India.
After losing against Pakistan, New Zealand have revived their chances of reaching the semis. They need to win their last three games and would be confident of doing that. The variety in the bowling attack is one to relish.
Bowling is no doubt their strength. They were brilliant in the last game, having restricted India to just 110 runs. All the bowlers played their part in the game and one could expect them to deliver a similar performance against Scotland as well.
Both the openers, Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell, are amongst the runs and this should keep them in good stead. Kane Williamson too played an unbeaten 33-run knock in the last game. The middle-order, however, hasn’t been tested enough. The likes of Phillips, Neesham and Conway got starts but couldn’t convert them. It is important that the trio remains in great decent touch if New Zealand wants to dominate the upcoming matches.
Facing them are Scotland, who haven’t had the greatest of outings in the Super 12 stage. Scotland was nothing short of outstanding in the first round of the ICC T20 World Cup. They finished the round at the number one position, however, Scotland couldn’t extend their winning run in the Super 12s.
Afghanistan hammered them in the first game, winning the match by a massive margin of 130 runs. The next game saw Scotland getting restricted to just 110 runs against Namibia. Barring Michael Leask (44 off 27), none of the batsmen could step up with the bat.
The bowlers fought hard in the second innings but 109 was too little a total to defend. Namibia chased down the score in 19.1 overs.
Scotland will be playing their third game against New Zealand on Wednesday and it’s highly unlikely that they beat New Zealand to end their losing streak.
