Pitch Report:
The surface at Wankhede Stadium has always been favourable for batting. There is an even bounce on the track, and the smaller boundaries make the job even easier for the batters. With the super-fast outfield, high-scoring games are always on the cards at Wankhede Stadium. Chasing will be a good option on this wicket.
A par score should be somewhere around 180 for sure.

Preview :
The Indian Premier League is back and it's bigger than ever! We have had a mega auction that has reshuffled the entire set of players and we also have two new teams in addition to the eight that existed. Starting off are the finalists from last season, Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders.
CSK won the title last year and has once again reposed its faith in its experienced players. KKR has also managed to keep the core of the side together but it is quite a different kind of outfit this season. Which team will get off to a winning start in IPL 2022?
CSK has been dealt a couple of heavy blows ahead of its season opener. Deepak Chahar is unlikely to play any role for the first half of IPL 2022 and Moeen Ali is also stuck in the United Kingdom with some visa issues. That means two of their best players are unavailable for this match against KKR.
That could mean an IPL debut for Devon Conway who would open the batting with Ruturaj Gaikwad.
CSK's batting seems a bit light on the batting. Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayadu, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, and MS Dhoni are likely to feature in the playing eleven. We think Ambati Rayadu and Ravindra Jadeja are the two batters that you can bet on to score some runs in this match.
KKR retained Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russel, Varun Chakravarthy, and Sunil Narine for IPL 2022 and that is the core of their lineup set. Iyer is going to open the batting, Russel and Narine will play vital all-round roles, and Chakravarthy is an excellent IPL bowler.
They have also added Shreyas Iyer to the squad and he is in terrific form. Iyer was the man of the series in the T20 series against the West Indies, scored runs in the Test series against Sri Lanka, and is also the captain of KKR. He will bat at 3 setting the tone for the entire team.
It will be interesting to see who opens the batting with Venkatesh Iyer. We could see Nitish Rana, he has played that role in the past, or Ajinkya Rahane (who will enjoy the conditions in Mumbai), or Aaron Finch who has been roped in as a replacement.
We also think Sam Billings has to be played in the middle-order since he is the only real wicketkeeping option in the squad! He is another terrific player in the middle order and adds depth to the KKR batting lineup.
Team Guide
Make various team combination with the help of these information.
Wicket keepers :
MS Dhoni :
MS Dhoni lacks exposure in recent times after his retirement from international cricket. He managed to score 114 runs in the last season at an average of 16.28. It’s important pick if CSK top order departs earlier otherwise better to avoid him.
Sam Billings :
Sam Billings is a good player of spin which is an added advantage for the overseas wicketkeeper batter in the Indian sub-continent. In his 19 IPL innings, he has scored 334 runs which include 3 half-centuries.
Batters :
Ruturaj Gaikwad:
Ruturaj Gaikwad is the leading run-scorer for his team in the IPL 2021. He had scored 635 runs in 16 matches at an average and a strike rate of 45.35 and 136.26. He had a top score of 101 and also scored 4 half-centuries. He is looking in great touch to lead the team.
Devon Conway:
Devon Conway is all set to make his IPL debut. The New Zealand left-hander has a fantastic record in T20 cricket. He averages 43.77 (3765 runs) and has two hundreds to his name as well in the shortest format very good pick.
Ambati Rayudu:
A lot will ride on the able shoulders of Ambati Rayudu in IPL 2022. The veteran batter is expected to come in at No. 4 in Moeen Ali's absence, which should allow him to build an innings at his preferred pace. With Rayudu having a decent record at the Wankhede Stadium, the CSK stalwart can be backed to come up with the goods in the 1st match of IPL 2022.
Shreyas Iyer:
Shreyas Iyer is in sublime form as he has scored 254 runs in last 5 T20s which includes 3 consecutive fifties. Moreover, he will bat at no.3 in all matches and Wankhede is his home ground must have pick from kkr side.
Nitish Rana:
Nitish Rana is a left-handed batsman, also very good part time spin bowling option. He has smacked 1820 runs in his 77 matches IPL career so far, punt pick.
All-rounders :
Andre Russell:
Andre Russell is the X factor for KKR side with his explosive batting ability and fiery pace bowling. The burly West Indian is expected to take up the primary role in the death overs this season. That and his ultra-aggressive batting bodes well from a Dream11 perspective. Given his potential and the conditions on offer, Russell should be a must-have in your CSK vs KKR Dream11 fantasy team.
Ravindra Jadeja:
Ravindra Jadeja is an unquestionable captaincy pick in this match. He is a fantastic all-rounder who can help his team with both bat and ball. In the last season, he had picked up 13 wickets from 49 overs and also managed to score 227 runs in 12 innings at an average and a strike rate of 75.66 and 145.51. He will be aiming to score heavy fantasy points must have pick & default C/VC choice.
Venkatesh Iyer:
Venkatesh Iyerscored 370 runs last season in just 10 matches and also picked up 3 wickets with the ball. Talking about his current form, he has taken 4 wickets and scored 73 runs at a healthy strike rate in his last 5 T20 matches.
Dwayne Bravo:
Dwayne Bravo is the legend T20 cricketer he has a great record at Wankhede as he has scored 187 runs and taken 21 wkts in just 16 matches in the IPL, must have pick.
Sunil Narine :
Sunil Narine had a very good T10 season in West Indies recently. With the bat as well as with the ball, the same expectation will remain from him in the IPL.
Narine has the most wickets in CSK-KKR matches with 21 scalps in 17 innings at an average of 20.19 and superb economy rate of 6.30.
Shivam Dube:
Shivam Dube So far very few people have taken him in their team and he will be the perfect differential option for this match. Dube will bat at number 4 and will bowl an over or two. He is an attacking batter and a good player of spin. He can fetch points from both batting and bowling.
Bowlers :
Adam Milne:
Milne is likely to bowl with the new cherry for Chennai Super Kings. He has played for Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the past. In his 9 IPL matches, he has scalped 7 wickets with the best figures of 2 for 21.
Tim Southee:
Tim Southee is a strike bowlerfor his team in this match. He will be hoping to earn good fantasy points through his bowling and will be hoping to deliver from the word go in this encounter.
Varun Chakravarthy:
Varun Chakravarthy was good with the ball last season as he took 18 wickets in 17 matches. Last season he played 2 matches at Wankhede and took 3 wickets in these matches very good pick.
Tushar Deshpande:
Tushar Deshpande took 8 wickets in just 4 matches in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and thus is in good form budget & punt pick.
