Preview :
The stage is set for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final to be held on March 9, Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. India (IND), who have reached their 3rd successive Champions Trophy final (also 2013 and 2017), take on New Zealand (NZ) in this fiery contest. India had defeated the Kiwis in their last group-stage encounter by 44 runs. They went on to then beat Australia in the semis. On the other hand, the Kiwis were up against South Africa in the 2nd semi-final, and they passed the test with flying colours.
India have already won the competition twice (joint-winners in 2002 and sole winners in 2013). New Zealand have bagged the trophy once when they beat India in the 2000 final.
India have dominated games in the Champions Trophy 2025 with their spin show, which will be no different. One expects the same side that took on New Zealand and Australia in the last two games. For the Kiwis, Matt Henry, who is the tournament’s top wicket-taker, is set to miss the final owing to a shoulder injury. Jacob Duffy is likely to come in.
