The pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is balanced surface with a good amount of assistance for batters and bowlers, you can also expect some seam movement and more bounce and spinners get good purchase due to its slow nature as very rarely do the scores touch 160-170 at this venue. Preview :

India will be taking on Sri Lanka in the third game of Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai on Tuesday. Sri Lanka is coming off a win (against Afghanistan) in their first Super 4 game while India is coming off a defeat against Pakistan in their first Super 4 game. After tasting consecutive victories in the group stages, Team India lost the match to their arch-rivals Pakistan in their first Super 4 stage game. They are currently placed third on the Super 4 points table. On the other hand, Sri Lanka hunted down Afghanistan in their first Super 4 game by 4 wickets. They are currently the Super 4 table toppers.

India batted with intent and posted a stiff target of 182 to Pakistan. The start was electric as Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul set the tone with Virat Kohli showing signs of getting back to his best as well. The finishing kick from SKY, Pant, Hooda, and Pandya did not come and that was where India fell short. Still, this India middle-order has proven itself to be very strong in the past and we would not lose faith in it just yet. We do not expect any changes in the team for this next match. India's batting is strong but its bowling lacks teeth. Arshdeep Singh bowled decently in the previous match, as did Ravi Bishnoi, but the rest of the bowlers all suffered. Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Bhuvenshwar Kumar in the death were disappointing.

Sri Lanka batted with intent and pulled off a fantastic win against Afghanistan in its previous match. Kusal Mendis led the way but cameos from Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Danushka Gunathilaka, and Pathum Nissanka were crucial as well. With Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Chamika Karunaratne all in the lineup, Sri Lanka has a lot of batting depth. It is more than capable of getting the better of a weak Indian bowling attack on its day. Sri Lanka's bowling has been quite poor and that is where it will have to improve dramatically. Wanindu Hasarnaga and Dilshan Madushanka seem like the only bowlers that pose threats on a regular basis. The match-up of Maheesh Theekshana against the Indian Top-3 is favorable on paper and if he can pick up some early wickets, Sri Lanka could be in the game.
