Preview :

The ODI series was won by India 3-0 but we don't think even one of those performances would have given the Indian team any satisfaction. The West Indian players are known for their exploits in the T20 format and come into this series with an exciting 3-2 win against England. yes, the conditions are going to be a bit foreign to them but there is no doubt in our minds that will be competitive as well.

India had a disastrous T20 World Cup campaign in Dubai and now needs to fix things ahead of the next T20 World Cup in just a few months' time. Rohit Sharma has shown a very impressive control over the tactics and we think he is going to start putting things in order for the next tournament from this match on.

India's batting lineup has been a big topic of concern and we think there are quite a few holes to be plugged. Rohit Sharma will open the batting but his partner could be either Ishan Kishan or Ruturaj Gaikwad. We think Kishan will get the nod because of him being a left-hander. In such a case, you can bet on Ishan Kishan to hit at least one six in his inning.
India's batting lineup is far from settled and has a long tail. Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur add some depth but you do not want to be depending on them to be bailing you out too often.

West Indies would be very disappointed to have lost the ODI series 3-0. They bowled well in every single match but just did not get going with the bat. Now that the format has changed, their batsmen may actually be freed up to play better.

In terms of power and depth, West Indies has the edge. Where it has faltered has been against the spinners and the swinging new ball.
News reports suggest that Kieron Pollard is going to be back for this match and that is a big positive to have. He and Nicholas Pooran could be vital to countering Yuvendra Chahal in the middle order. The West Indian batting order will also feature Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Rovman Powell, Fabian Allen, and Romario Shepherd.
