PSL 2022 is all set to begin on the 27th of January, and the final is scheduled to be played on the 27th of February. A total of 34 matches will be played this season, across two venues in Pakistan, National Stadium, Karachi, and Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. No new teams have been added this year, and hence the old 6 teams will battle it out once again.

Each team will face the other team twice in the league stages, and the top 4 teams at the end of group stages will proceed to the playoffs.

Multan Sultans are the defending champions and will be kicking off their title defence against Karachi Kings in the inaugural match of this edition. Multan Sultans defeated the Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs in the finals last year to conquer the title. On the other hand, Karachi Kings managed to win 5 of their 10 group stage games last year and were eliminated from the Eliminator 1 itself.
