The pitch at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune is a balanced pitch. we have seen a bit more help for the spinners in Pune than at other venues. The boundaries are a bit larger and help the spinners be a bit more aggressive with flighting the ball as well.

Preview :

Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans will play the 57th match of IPL 2022 on Tuesday. Both the teams will meet for the second time this season.
Both the teams have played 11 matches this season so far and won 8 games each. Due to a higher net run rate, Lucknow Super Giants is currently placed at the top of the points table.
Lucknow Super Giants is coming off a massive 75-run victory against Kolkata Knight Riders while Gujarat Titans faced a narrow defeat against Mumbai Indians in their last match.
GT will be a bit disappointed at having lost its previous match to the Mumbai Indians. They had just nine runs to chase off the last over, something that GT has done regularly this season. For once, though, David Miller and Rahul Tewatia were unable to get their team over the line. Is there any room for a change in the playing eleven for GT? Not likely because Hardik Pandya is still not bowling and that means an additional bowler has to play. Also, most of the players that were under pressure performed quite well in the previous match.
Shubman Gill got a fifty, Wriddhiman Saha also got runs, and Pradeep Sangwan bowled quite well. Alzarri Joseph is perhaps the only bowler that underperformed and his place in the team could be up for debate.
GT has found a lot of success in IPL 2022 by backing its bowling lineup. Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammad Shami, and Pradeep Sangwan have all bowled well and Alzarri Joseph also has a few good performances.

LSG played its previous match against KKR and registered a heavy victory by 75 runs. The fact that the win came even with KL Rahul being run out without facing a delivery is all the more impressive. KL Rahul has been the lynchpin for LSG in IPL 2022 so far and is also the second-highest run-getter across the league. His record in Pune, though, is not the best.
Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda are the other batters that have done well for LSG in recent times but their strategy after the top-3 get out seems to be to just buy time. They send in Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni ahead of Stoinis or even Holder to try and explode towards the end of the inning.
That tactic has worked so far and so LSG will find no reason to move away from it. The bowling lineup for LSG is also exceptional. Dushmanth Chameera, Mohsin Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, and Jason Holder have all bowled well at different parts of the game. There is enough backup for these bowlers if someone has a bad day as well.

Team Guide

Make various team combinations with the help of these information.

Wicket-Keepers :

KL Rahul :

KL Rahul is in exceptional form at the moment. He is the second highest run getter of the tournament. Unfortunately, he's run out on a golden duck. He has 451 runs with the average of 50.11 in the last 11 matches with 2 centuries & 2 half centuries. Rahul will be the default captaincy pick for this match.

Quinton de Kock :

Quinton de Kock is a dashing wicket keeper batter who can able to play according to the match situations. He's more effective in Powerplay overs & should get some quick runs early on. He played an aggressive innings of 50 runs in just 29 balls against KKR in the last match. Overall he has aggregated 344 runs while striking at 138.70. Hence, he might be a top pick as captain or vice-captain.

Wriddhiman Saha :

Wriddhiman Saha has been impressive at the top of the order for GT. Playing a brilliant innings of 55 runs against Mumbai in the last match, he managed to give his team a strong start. He has scored 209 runs in 6 matches at an average of 34.83 and a strike rate of 130.62. Witch 2 half centuries. Must have pick.

Overall has made 306 runs in 11 matches at an average of 61.20 and a strike rate of 145.02. Since making 94 not-out against CSK, he has not been able to play an big innings. However, Pandya has led from the front especially with the bat he is a leading run getter for his team with 333 runs at an average of 41.63, an strike rate is 134.27, also picked up 4 wickets with ball in ten matches. Still he is Match winner can bounce back strongly in this game, will be a solid c/vc pick.

Holder has taken 12 wickets in 9 matches at an average of 24.41, an economy of 9.30, and a strike rate of 15.7, and he can contribute with the bat as well. He bowls in the death overs, due to which his chances of getting wickets are very High. Will be great options for the grand league in this match.

Krunal Pandya :

Krunal Pandya has contributed nicely with both bat & ball. He came to bat at number four against KKR in the last match and played a useful innings of 25 runs. Overall he has 153 runs along with 9 wickets in the last 11 matches which makes him safest pick from all-rounder's section

He has won Gujarat a few games on his own with his explosive batting. He has struck 193 runs at an average of 32.17 and strike rate of 159.78. Rashid-Khan is a great player in T20 formet. He is bowling really well and has picked up 11 wickets at an economy rate of 6.84. He has also scored 72 runs while striking at 191.80. Rashid might have been a little bit rusty with his bowling off late but In bowling amazingly, took 2 wickets while giving only 24 runs in last match against MI. Thus we can expect him to repeat same performance in this match also. could be a solid option as vice-captain.

Mohammed Shami :

Mohammed Shami has been superb with the ball in this tournament. He has ability to bowl good line, length & swing the ball early in Powerplay's over. He has picked up 15 wicket in 11 matches and has an economy rate of 8.29 in this IPL 2022. He's did not get a wicket in the last match but maintain his place as the leading wicket taker for his team.
