Pitch Report :
The surface at the Ekana Cricket Stadium is a batting-friendly surface, and is expected to assist the Batters once again here. Pacers might get some help towards the latter half of the match while spinners may come in handy in the middle overs. If the first few overs batsmen get out with patience without losing wickets, then they can score runs at a fast pace in the middle overs and the end overs. Along with this, the due factor is often seen in the field of Mohali. In such a situation, whichever team wins the toss today can decide to bowl first.
The average first innings score on this wicket is 160 runs.

Preview :
Lucknow Super Giants will host Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 10 of the ongoing IPL 2023. The match will be played on Friday (April 7) at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. After a win in their opening match against Delhi Capitals, the Lucknow team suffered a defeat against Chennai Super Kings. Chasing a mammoth 218 in 20 overs, Kyle Mayers (53), Marcus Stoinis (21), Nicholas Pooran (32), and Ayush Badoni (23) gave LSG a shot at target but they eventually were restricted to 205/7, falling short by 12 runs.
KL Rahul hasn’t been in the best of forms at the top of the order and he will need to get some runs under his belt to regain some of the lost confidence. He has a good opening partner in the form of Kyle Mayers, who has scored half-centuries in both games so far. The team will be looking for another explosive performance from him, especially during the Powerplay. It will be interesting to see how the Super Giants slot in Quinton de Kock, who is expected to join the team in this game. De Kock will likely replace Marcus Stoinis, who hasn’t had the best of times in the middle.
Nicolas Pooran has played well lower down the order but the form of Krunal Pandya remains a cause of concern. Mark Wood has been excellent with the new ball as he took a fifer in the opening match and followed it up with a 3 wicket haul against CSK.
He will be joined by Avesh Khan. Ravi Bishnoi has done well during the middle overs but lacks support at the other end.
Rahul Tripathi and Abhishek Sharma were sent back to the dugout in the very first over as the Sunrisers chased a mammoth target of 204 to win. Harry Brook, who was in red-hot form in the build-up to this season, failed to impress in his debut match, getting out for a paltry 13.
SRH lost 5 wickets inside the first 10 overs with just 48 runs on the board as they seemed to be headed for a disaster. However, some late resistance by Abdul Samad and Adil Rashid saved them the blushes and steered the team to a respectable total. With Aiden Markram expected to be back in the team for this game, SRH will be looking for a stronger batting performance here. The team has a strong pace attack consisting of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Fazalhaq Farooqi, T Natarajan, and Umran Malik, and will be banking on them to put up a good show here.
