Gulf Giants will lock horns with MI Emirates in the 2nd Qualifier match of the UAE T20 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on February 10. Gulf Giants finished the league stage with seven wins from 10 matches and hence finished at the top spot. MI Emirates won five matches from their quota of seven matches and finished at the third spot at the end of Group stage.

Gulf Giants played against Desert Vipers in the 1st Qualifier match where they won the toss and elected to field. Vipers posted a good total of 178 at the loss of seven wickets. Giants got a decent start when they returned to chase the total but were stopped by a good bowling effort especially from Tom Curran who took four wickets. Giants lost the match by 19 runs, but finishing top of the table they have another chance to make it to the finals. Emirates, on the other hand, squared off against Dubai Capitals in the Eliminator match where they won the toss and chose to field. Capitals made a decent score of 151 at the loss of five wickets with the help of a half century from George Munsey.
