The surface at the Sportpark Westvliet is a balanced wicket that offers good assistance for both batters and bowlers. Seamers will get additional help due to the spongy nature of the surface. The average first innings score here is 170 runs.

Preview :
Netherlands will take on Ireland in the 2nd match of the Tri-Nation T20I series on Sunday. The Netherlands team started off strong with a 41-run victory over Scotland in their first match, while Ireland enters the series after a 2-1 loss to Pakistan at home.
A decent batting effort and great work with the ball helped Netherlands to seal the series opener on Saturday over Scotland by 41 runs. Michael Levitt (43), Max O’Dowd (30), and Vikramjit Singh (39) produced a sizzling batting show to guide them for a challenging 167-run on the board. Later in the game Vivian Kingma’s 4-fer and 3-wicket haul from Logan Van Beek steered the home side for an easy win in the end as they reduced the opposition to only 126 on the board. Vivian Kingma was adjudged the Player of the Match. Daniel Doram who made his T20I debut picked up two crucial wickets. They played without their frontline players Bas de Leede and Fred Klaassen in the 1st game and it will be interesting what combination they go for against Ireland.
Ireland has arrived into the series on the back of competitive 3-matches T20Is against Pakistan where they lost 2-1 despite scripting a historic win in the 1st T20I. As a batting group, they have come out well, posting scores of 183, 193, and 178. However, they need to figure things out how to defend scores which cost the series. They make one change from their last T20I series with South African-born Graham Hume missing the Netherlands trip due to visa delays and Fionn Hand will replace him in the squad. Josh Little has completed his stint with Gujarat Titans in IPL and will join the team ahead of the T20 World Cup. Paul Stirling who missed the final T20I against Pakistan will lead the side in the Tri-Series and the T20 World Cup.
Team Guide
Makes various team combinations with the help of these information.
Scott Edwards :
Scott Edwards is the backbone of Dutch team who's promoted himself to No.3 in the 1st game against Scotland, the position he batted only for the 3rd time in his T20I career and scored 13 from 15 balls, he even affected two dismissals. Must have pick.
Andy Balbirnie :
Andy Balbirnie had a good series against Pakistan, scoring 128 runs in 3 matches at a strike rate of 134.73 with the best score of 77. The Ireland opener was giving his team good starts and it was his knock that helped his team win the first game. Safest c/vc pick.
Paul Stirling :
Paul Stirling is an attacking top order batter who's not looking in form in recently concluded series against the Pakistan. The Irish skipper will be relishing the opportunity to get himself ready for the T20 World Cup during the current series. Paul Stirling for long has been one of the best T20 players across the world and has a penchant to score big runs. Hit or miss type player.
Michael Levitt :
Michael Levitt is going to be the next big thing for Netherlands with the way he started off his T20I career. He provided a solid foundation against Scotland in the 1st game of the series with a 43-run knock of 31 balls. Overall he's scored 290 runs at an average of 58.0 in six matches while striking at 179.1. One of the best captaincy choice for grand league.
Harry Tector :
Harry Tector is the most important player from Irish side who has played 73 T20Is matches so far and scored 1341 runs at an average of 24.83. With the T20 World Cup around the corner Tector will want as much practice as possible to get himself ready. Default c/vc pick.
Logan van Beek :
Logan van Beek is a big match player and the experience of playing T20s across the world helped elevate his game to a new level. He returned with the figures of 3 for 18 in the 1st game of the series including back-to-back wickets of Matthew Cross and Gavin Main. Must have pick.
Vivian Kingma :
Vivian Kingma bowled his best spell of his T20I career, registering the figures of 4 for 21 in the series opener against Scotland. The 29-year-old right-arm quick has 18 wickets in 15 T20Is. Good pick.
