Pitch Report

The pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is a decent one to bat on, with 170 being a good total at the venue. The pacers should get some extra bounce and movement early on, with the batters having to bide their time in the middle. Although there isn't much turn available off the surface, the spinners will look to make use of the skewed dimensions of the ground. Wickets in hand, as always, will be key, with both teams likely to prefer chasing upon winning the toss.

Weather Forecast

The maximum temperature would be 36°C in Dubai on Saturday. Apart from that, the humidity would be around 40%.

Preview:

English batting lineup seems dependable with names like Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow. Any of the batters in this line up on their good day can single-handedly destroy the opposition bowling. Bairstow scored 49 runs off 36 balls against India in the first warm-up match while Buttler scored 73 off 51 balls with 11 fours & 2 sixes against New Zealand in a winning cause.

Team England bowlers looked dangerous against New Zealand in the second warm-up match. Particularly, Mark Wood & Adil Rashid, who picked up 4 wickets & 3 wickets respectively. David Willey, Chris Woakes & Moeen Ali also can contribute to a dominating bowling performance by England.

West Indies batting hasn't particularly fired in the warm-up games, due to which Windies have lost both the matches. Apart from Roston Chase, who scored 54 off 58 balls against Afghanistan, none of the batters showed any intent in both matches. West Indian T20 legend, Kieron Pollard, although, smashed a quickfire knock of 23 runs off 10 balls with 5 boundaries against Pakistan.

Windies bowling has been much like its batting, not very promising. Hayden Walsh picked up 2 wickets in the first match but gave away 41 runs in 3.3 overs; while Obed McCoy took 2 wickets but then again he also gave away 43 runs in 4 overs.
