Preview :

Northern Warriors are all set to take on Deccan Gladiators in a match that is of significant importance for both these sides. Deccan Gladiators have an opportunity to get into the two teams whereas Northern Warriors will be desperate to get their first win of the tournament. This is expected to be a high-voltage encounter and a cracker of a contest is certainly on the cards.

Northern Warriors have gotten off to the worst possible start in the competition, losing all of their first three matches. Unless they are able to get at least one favorable result from their next few matches, they would certainly be staring at an early exit pretty soon. As it currently stands, they have zero points to their name and a terrible net run rate of -1.740.
Surprisingly, Northern Warriors are the defending champions and they have not performed anywhere near to what they are capable of. However, they have improved with every passing game and will want to keep this progress up. In their last match, which was against Bangla Tigers, they did manage to do well with the bat, but could not defend that total.
Northern Warriors have a lot of changes to their side as compared to last year and that is arguably what is hurting them. They are yet to get their combination right and they would want to get that as soon as possible. On paper, they have a decent side that seems to be a little too over-reliant on Moeen Ali and Rovman Powell with their openers not doing well.

With two wins from three matches, Deccan Gladiators have gotten off to a rather strange start in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. In one of the matches they scored a mammoth total of 146 and in the other match, they managed to score a total of just 97. They would want to believe that they do not fail as miserably as they did in their match against Team Abu Dhabi.
Despite their narrow loss against Team Abu Dhabi, Deccan Gladiators will not be disappointed, yet. Not only are they sitting pretty on the points table, they have also done a reasonably good job in all three departments of the game. We saw their batting strength when they scored 146 runs against Chennai Braves as the likes of Tom Moores and Andre Russell propelled them from a poor position to a position from which they were able to dictate terms.
In their two subsequent fixtures, which were against Team Abu Dhabi and Delhi Bulls, their bowling came to the rescue as they restricted the two teams respectively to the totals of 99 and 112. Even though they lost the match against Team Abu Dhabi, they should be pretty content with the way their bowlers delivered while defending a small total.
