Preview :
The Kolkata Knight Riders were brought down to earth by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in their previous match and now face the Punjab Kings in this next match. It was impressive to see the Punjab Kings smash the RCB bowling to all parts of the ground. Is IPL 2022 their year or will they struggle to maintain consistency.
KKR went hard against RCB in its previous match and ended up losing a few too many wickets. However, that approach seems to be the one that the team is committed to and we do not see any throttling back in this next match. If anything, Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer may be told to get more of a move on in the powerplay overs.
The batting lineup for KKR looked out of sorts in the previous match. Venkatesh Iyer could have a few questions over facing the short ball, Ajinkya Rahane is playing out of his comfort zone, and Nitish Rana has so far failed to get going.
Umesh Yadav has been brilliant with the new ball so far making an early impact on both the matches he has played. The extra bounce and movement that he has got with the new ball make him very dangerous. Tim Southee should keep his place in the playing eleven while Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy are also dependable on most days.
The Punjab Kings would have been thrilled to get off to a winning start as they chased down 205 with one over to spare. The team played only three overseas players in the previous match and now with Kagiso Rabada available for selection, we expect them to play four. Sandeep Sharma is the player likely to miss out unless the Punjab Kings decide to go in with one spinner.
The batting lineup for the Punjab Kings is stacked. Mayank Aggarwal and Shikhar Dhawan form an excellent opening pair while Bhanuka Rajapaksa showed his T20 class in the previous match. With Liam Livingstone, Shahrukh Khan, and Odean Smith in the lineup, there is no shortage of six-hitting prowess in this lineup.

Rahane scored brilliant 44 runs against Chennai Super Kings, wasn’t able to carry forward the same form against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the 2 matches in this tournament, he has added 53 runs at a strike rate of 120.45, very good c/vc pick.
Nitish Rana:
Nitish Rana scored 21 & 10 runs in 2 matches. Rana has looked in good touch in both matches and one big knock from him is just around the corner. can fetch a lot of points with the bat. Punt pick.

Venkatesh Iyer:
Venkatesh Iyer is very good allrounder he has just scored 26 runs in the last 2 matches & just bowl one over in last game, he has 396 runs & 3 wkts in 12 matches, he couldn't do much in these last two matches. Look, maybe someone can play a big innings in this match, punt captain pick.

Odean Smith was expensive with the ball in last game again RCB and made it up for that with a match-winning innings of unbeaten 25* runs from 8 balls which included one four and three sixes. He is a powerful stroke-maker and no ground is big for him. He is best grand league captain choice because he is contribute with both bat & bowl.
Umesh Yadav :
This season has started like a dream for Umesh Yadav. He has taken 4 wickets in two matches.
He has been brilliant with the new ball and has been a wicket-taker for KKR in the power play. In the first two matches, wickets have been taken in the opening overs. The same will be expected in this match as well.
Kagiso Rabada :
Kagiso Rabada is set to make his debut for Punjab in this game. The South African fast bowler has taken 76 wickets from just 50 games in the IPL carrier. Punt captain pick.

He returned with figures of 3 for 20 in his full quota of 4 overs. Useful pick because he is bowling in death overs can pick wickets in bulk like last game.
Rahul Chahar :
Rahul Chahar is one of the best leg spinners in the competition. He is a quick leg-spinner and has good accuracy. He picked one wicket in the first game and gave away only 22 runs in his 4 overs, good pick in bowling section.
Varun Chakravarthy:
Varun Chakravarthy picked up a wicket each from 2 matches at an average of 28, an economy of 7, and a strike rate of 24. He has a BBI of 1/23 and is a very good bet for wickets. Good pick.
Arshdeep Singh:
Arshdeep Singh has been a good find for the Punjab Kings and was thus, retained. He bags wickets at crucial junctures and will hold the key. He was brilliant last season, ending with 18 wickets. He started this season with a wicket but would be hoping to add more.
