Pitch Report :
The pitch at the Perth Stadium is a bowling-friendly one and offers great assistance to both pacers and spinners throughout the game and it is anticipated that it will continue to be so for this game as well. On this track, the spinners have little assistance. Both teams have world-class pacers available for this fixture. There is a lot of pace and bounce on offer but batters that get used to that can also make the most of conditions to score quickly. Batsmen will have to spend quality time in the middle to get going here in the initial overs.
The average first innings score here is 158 runs so far.

Preview :
The 16th match of the ongoing Big Bash League will see Perth Scorchers taking on Adelaide Strikers at the Perth Stadium on December 26. Strikers, who currently are at the top of the table, have won three out of their four matches while the Scorchers are currently third in the table with two wins out of three games.
The Ashton Turner-led side absolutely wreaked havoc in their previous match against the Melbourne Stars. Stumper-batter Josh Inglis smashed 74 runs in 33 deliveries while opener Faf du Plessis scored 68 runs in 33 deliveries. Courtesy of their carnage, the Scorchers put up 229 runs on board after 20 overs. The bowlers did a good job as well. Jason Behrendorff picked up three wickets while Peter Hatzoglou picked up two wickets. Perth Scorchers were very strong in their last game, beating Melbourne Stars by a convincing margin of 61 runs. The whole team will be full of confidence ahead of this match.
Adelaide Strikers were the only team to still have a 100% record before their last game and it will be interesting to see how they respond to their first defeat. They still have plenty of quality and will be tough opponents for the Scorchers.
