Perth Scorchers (SCO) will take on the Sydney Sixers (SIX) in the qualifier game of the Big Bash League 2022-23 on Saturday (January 28) at the Perth Stadium. The Scorchers won 11 out of 14 games in the group stage and finished in first place in the points table. They are on a three-game winning streak, and interestingly, their last loss came only at the hands of the Sixers. Sixers defended a total of 151 runs after a stunning bowling performance from Sean Abbott, who also won the Player of the Match award. This was Sixers’ first win against the Scorchers since February 2021.
Sixers finished in second place in the points table with ten wins in 14 games. They have won their previous six games this season and have been in great form. The addition of Steven Smith to the squad has done wonders for them.
