Pitch Report :

The pitch at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati will allow for good stroke play and the batters will find it easy to bat on the surface. The surface will not allow a lot of assistance to the bowlers and wicket taking is not going to be easy. It’s winter in India so there will be some help on offer with the new ball. Dew could also play a significant role in the outcome of the match. There should not be much swing available early on, allowing batters to go hard from ball one. Chasing could be the preferred option upon winning the toss, with dew likely to come into play in the second innings.

The average first innings score here is 190 runs so far.

Weather Report :

The temperature is expected to hover around 31°C on the Saturday with 65% humidity and 10 km/hr wind speed. There are no chances of rain during the match.

Preview :

Delhi Capitals will travel to Guwahati to take on Rajasthan Royals in match 11 of the ongoing IPL 2023. The match will be played on Saturday (April 8) at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati in the afternoon.

The David Warner-led side has faced back-to-back defeats and are languishing at the bottom of the table with no points. After an embarrassing defeat in their opening game, Delhi Capitals suffered another loss at their homeground. The Capitals’ batting line-up faltered yet again as they got restricted to 162 against Gujarat Titans which the defending champions chased down with 11 balls to spare.

The Rajasthan Royals sent Ravichandran Ashwin to open the innings in a bid to give them a quick start but the strategy backfired as he was back in the dugout without disturbing the scorers. Going ahead, they are likely to stay with their tried and tested opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Buttler. The team has a strong middle order consisting of Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal, Riyan Parag, and Shimron Hetmeyer, which should give them a good amount of confidence. Dhruv Jurel, who made his IPL debut as an impact player played an excellent cameo to get the team close to the finish line. The bowling is led by Trent Boult, who has been very impressive with the new ball, as well as the spinners who have been brilliant at all stages of the game.
