Preview :

The 44th match of IPL 2022 will feature the Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians. The two teams will be squaring off against each other for the 2nd time in the season. Rajasthan Royals has done well in Tata IPL 2022 as they are placed in the second position on the points tally. The Mumbai outfit hasn’t fared well at all this season with the team lying in the last position in the points table at the moment. The RR team has played 8 matches so far in this edition of IPL and they have recorded an amazing 6 wins from these 8 matches. Mumbai Indians' performance has raised many an eyebrow this year as the team has failed to win a single game so far in the competition. In their last game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the RR team was successful in defending their total to record a convincing 29 runs victory. For the RR team, Riyan Parag hammered 56 runs and from the bowling department, it was Kuldeep Sen who was the main contributor with 4 wickets.

Mumbai has lost all their games thus far in Tata IPL 2022. In their last game against Lucknow Super Giants, they lost the match by 36 runs. Although Tilak Varma and Rohit Sharma did offer a bit of resistance with 38 and 39 runs respectively for the Mumbai team. The last time these two teams went up against each other Mumbai was beaten by 23 runs. Mumbai wicket-taking responsibilities are handled by the keeper-batsman, Ishan Kishan. The southpaw scored a half-century in the last game against RR and you can expect him to be a threat again this year.
However, the Mumbai charge will be led by their mercurial captain Rohit Sharma. In the last game against Rajasthan, Rohit managed just 10 runs and he will be keen to rectify this record in this game. You can expect his innings to be the crux of this encounter. Another right-handed batsman who has done well for the Indians over the years is Suryakant Yadav. He did not play the last game against RR but has appeared to be in a great nick in the last few Indians matches. A left-handed batsman Tilak Varma scored 61 runs in the last encounter against Rajasthan and he will be a figure in the Mumbai batting line-up.

Jos Butler is in form of his life, the orange cap holder has been in a league of his own in the tournament so far, hitting centuries for fun. The current orange cap holder already has 3 centuries to his name this season along with 2 fifties and a total of 499 runs. Mumbai will pray to get him out early before he gets explosive for Rajasthan.

Sanju Samson :

Sanju Samson is a quality batsman and the Royals skipper would be eager to lead from the front. He has showcased time and again the talent he possesses and he has had a decent run thus far. He has scored 228 runs thus far but would be eager to take that tally further. No big innings in this season has come from his bat so far. But played useful innings, scored 27 runs in the last match. Must have pick.

Ishan Kishan :

Ishan Kishan was brilliant in the first few matches, He played a brilliant innings of 81 against Delhi in the first match after this he smashed 54 runs in the last match against Rajasthan Royals. Since then, he could not do anything special in the next 6 matches. He was dismissed on 8 runs, before that he's out for duck against CSK but is still an excellent choice for C/VC in your fantasy team.

Batters :

Rohit Sharma :

Rohit Sharma seems to be batting well but the big scores haven't come, looked in decent touch against Lucknow. He made a decent contribution of 39 runs in that match. Overall he's mustered 153 runs and has got good starts. Hence, he can be backed to come good. All in all, a big score is around the corner. will be hoping to make it big here should continue to build up form for this fixture. Must have pick.

Suryakumar Yadav :

Suryakumar Yadav is dashing middle-order batsman. He has accumulated 239 runs in six matches which have come at an average of 47.80, with 2 half century, he was dismissed for a single-digit score for the first time in this edition of the tournament in the last game against LSG. In the last match, where all the batsmen were seen struggling from Mumbai's side, they played a useful innings of 38 runs. will be the best pick for this match.

Dewald Brevis :

Dewald Brevis is a talented hard-hitting batting All-rounder. He has shown his flair with the bat, scoring 124 runs but would be disappointed in last two games. He has showcased his attacking side, and would want to pick up some form, having looked far from his best in the last couple of games. He also has a wicket to his name. Good pick.

All-rounders :

Ravichandran Ashwin :

Ravichandran Ashwin, Rajasthan have used them properly so far, they send them up in the batting if needed & whenever he has got a chance to bat, he has been able to play useful innings. He is doing amazing performance in bowling, took 3 wickets against Bangalore in the last match, 19 for 70 runs, took 2 wickets against Delhi in the first match. In the first 5 matches, Ashwin managed to pick only a single wicket in first 5 matches and it looked like he was struggling. However, he has managed to pick 6 wickets in the last 3 matches and might have finally hit the top gear. Must have pick.

Daniel Sams :

Daniel Sams has been more than an average performer for Mumbai, who has taken 6 wickets and made just 15 runs in 5 matches. He was able to take only 1 wicket in the last match, while in the first match against CSK, he took 4 wickets while bowling brilliantly along with bowling, he is capable of playing a good innings in batting if needed. One of the best option in allrounder section.

Riyan Parag was the star performer in the last game scored unbeaten 56* runs off 31 deliveries and was the only batter to score over 30 runs for RR. It was the first time that he scored over 20 runs in this edition. Along with batting, he also gets part time bowling done. Expect maintains his momentum in this match as well. Hit or miss type plyer.

Daryl Mitchell :

Yuzvendra Chahal has bowled beautifully throughout this season, he is the leading wicket taker for RR & also a purple cap holder with 18 wickets from 8 matches at an average of 12.61, an economy of 7.09, He was wicketless in the last game it's a first time in this tournament and would be eager to make amends. Hence, he will be a top captaincy or vice-captaincy choice.

Jasprit Bumrah :

Jasprit Bumrah is a death overs specialist as well bowled 1 or 2 overs in Powerplay. He has not lit up the IPL in the way he did in the past couple of seasons managing just 5 wickets from his 8 matches. In the last 5 matches, he has been able to take only 2 wickets, while the bowling very well & economical, However, this doesn’t change the fact that he is one of the key players for MI and might finally hit the top of his mark in this game. Will be a great pick for grand league.

Trent Boult :

Unfortunately haven't been able to take any wicket in the last three consecutive matches but bowled very well in crucial occasions. He has been lethal with the new ball and equally effective at the death, he is bowling well and has been amongst the wickets this season. He has picked up 10 wickets at an economy rate of 7.84.
