Pitch Report :

The pitch at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune is a balanced pitch. we have seen a bit more help for the spinners in Pune than at other venues. The boundaries are a bit larger and help the spinners be a bit more aggressive with flighting the ball as well. Chasing sides have struggled here as they've won only 3 out of 12 matches. Teams will look to chase but won't mind batting first either.

The average first inning score here so far has been 175.

Preview :

Kolkata Knight Riders will be squaring off against Sunrisers Hyderabad for the second time in the sixty-first match of this season of the Tata IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders is currently placed at the seventh position on the points table of this season of the Tata IPL whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad is currently placed at the sixth spot on the points table.

Kolkata Knight Riders have had a campaign to forget, where they have carried out a plethora of experiments with their team but hardly any of those has paid dividends.
Shreyas Iyer’s team started out well, winning three of their first four matches, but they have since won only two of their next eight fixtures. That being said, the Knights will be fairly confident coming into this fixture as they defeated Mumbai Indians by 52 runs in their last outing.
KKR are effectively out of the playoffs race, albeit not mathematically, but Sunrisers Hyderabad are pretty much in contention. However, Kane Williamson’s team will need to win all of their last three matches to attain the magic figure of 16 points. Unlike their opponents, confidence will not be running high in the Hyderabad camp as they have lost all of their last four matches.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad have also accumulated only 10 points but the only advantage they have over KKR is the number of matches yet to be played. Sunrisers Hyderabad have three matches remaining and can still add 6 points along with good net run rate to find their place in play-offs. However, SRH have been struggling in their bowling department due to injuries to their main bowlers; Washington Sundar and T. Natarajan along with some loss of form in Umran Malik's bowling, hence the side will need to fix all the troubles to get back into the race.
