Preview :

The 12th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 will be played between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Lucknow Super Giants. This match will be played at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.
Things were looking a bit grim for SRH and they seem to have more than a few holes to fill in their lineup. LSG, on the other hand, seems to have uncovered some very promising young Indian talent that could give it a boost down the line.

SRH lost its previous match against RR by 61 runs. To be honest, that margin was only reduced because of a final flourish by Washington Sundar otherwise it could have been closer to 80-90 runs. That is a massive defeat and shows the kind of problems that exist in the batting lineup.
Having Abhishek Sharma open the batting does not seem like the best option but at least Kane Williamson is a reliable player. Even Rahul Tripathi is an excellent IPL player and one bad inning is not enough to give up on him. Then there is Nicholas Pooran. he is someone who has done brilliantly at the international level and seems like the ideal IPL player but his record is just not good enough.

LSG hit its stride in the previous match it played against CSK. KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock got off to a brilliant start after which Evin Lewis, Deepak Hooda, and Ayush Badoni also played some brilliant knocks to help chase down the fourth highest target in IPL history.

That was LSG's batting at its best and showed what the team can achieve. This is a batting lineup that can be quite vulnerable to some early wickets, though, as we saw in the first match. Manish Pandey is the only batsman that has struggled for form in both matches and he could be someone to bet against.

LSG's bowling is a bit unconvincing as well. Only Ravi Bishnoi has been picking up wickets and keeping the runs down regularly. He can be a good option for the Top Bowler for fantacy. Avesh Khan, in particular, has looked out of sorts after having a great season with Delhi capital.

Team Guide

Makes various teams combination with the help of these information.

Wicket keepers:

KL Rahul:

KL Rahul scored 40 runs in the last game. Rahul looked in good touch which is a great sign for Lucknow. He is one of the best batters in the IPL, he smashed runs in IPL with Average of 46.70 which is the incredible and can win matches single handedly on his day. Rahul is the most popular captaincy option for this match.

Quinton de Kock:

Batter :

Kane Williamson:

Kane Williamson is one of the best batters in world cricket. He is known for his consistency with the bat. He got out cheaply in the last match but will be a great captaincy pick. He will open the innings for the Sunrisers. He scored 1887 runs in his IPL career with the average of 39.40
Which is very good in Twenty20 cricket.
Defaunt c/vc choice from SRH.

Ayush Badoni :

Ayush Badoni has been the find of IPL 2022. He has a lot of potential and has impressed everyone with his batting. He scored 54 runs in the first game and a match-winning cameo of 19 in the last game. This young batter has some orthodox shots which is seen in the first two matches. Very good pick.

Manish Pandey :

Manish Pandey is out of form in the first two matches of the season so far, he scored just 11 runs in both the matches. Pandey scored 3571 runs in his IPL career in 156 matches, he is known for his consistency can scored some big here, good pick.

Evin Lewis :

Evin Lewis is an attacking opening batter batsman and despite not playing in his favored opening slot he batted at 4 in last game, the southpaw played a match-winning knock in last match he smashed not out 55 in just 23 ball and ensured Lucknow's wins. Must have pick.

Deepak Hooda :

Deepak Hooda is the finest all-rounder player but showing in batter section in D11 who can help the team in scoring good points with his all-round ability. He has scored 68 runs and also struck a wicket in the 2 matches. He will be a best captain choice for GL.

Rahul Tripathi :

Rahul Tripathi was unfortunately out for a duck in the game against RR. However, he had a good season in 2021 where he scored 397 runs at a strike-rate of 140.28. Hence, he can be backed to come good, punt pick.

All-rounder :

Jason Holder :

Jason Holder will return to the side he is best allrounder in current time and will bowl at the crucial stages of the match. He is also very good with the bat, he has 35 wickets & 189 runs in IPL career so far, very good choice for grand league captain / vice cap.

Aiden Markram :

Aiden Markram is a quality batsman and is technically solid. In the last match, he was the only batter from Hyderabad who could serbive against the Rajasthan bowlers and scored a superb unbeaten 57. He is a also useful with part time bowl. Must have pick fro SRH.

Romario Shepherd :

Romario Shepherd is a utility player and a talented all-rounder. He is picked 1 wicket and scored 24 runs, proving his all-round credentials. He is consistently wicket tacker with ball also a handy batter, Very good pick.

Washington Sundar :

Washington Sundar scored 40 runs in just 17 deliveries, disappointing performance with the ball against RR. He proved to be very expensive in the last match, giving 47 runs in 3 overs and did not take any wicket. Very good pick.

Krunal pandya :

The first match of the season was very good for Krunal Pandya, in which he also took 1 wicket and scored 21 runs. But the performance in the last match was not good. He has 1164 runs & also 52 wickets in IPL career. Must have pick.

Bowler :

Bhuvneshwar Kumar :

Bhuvneshwar Kumar Currently, he is the best swing bowler and specializes in taking wickets in the opening over. He is taken one wicket and conceded just 29 runs in his four overs against RR. He has 58 wickets in 59 Ipl matches so for.

Dushmantha Chameera :

Chameera In the last match proved to be very expensive, 49 runs were scored in their four overs and did not take any wicket. While bowling did very well in the first match, he took two wickets for 22 runs. Good pick in Bowling section.

Andrew Tye :

Andrew Tye has come in as a replacement for Mark Wood and showed his pedigree in the very first game. The Aussie is a T20 specialist and is known for his variations. He added 2 wickets in the last game and would be hoping for a similar show.

Avesh Khan :

Avesh Khan had his best season in the IPL in 2021 as he really excelled with the Delhi Capitals. He can work up some serious pace and trouble the batsmen. He has been the top wicket-taker for his side with 3 wickets and has looked in fine rhythm.

T Natarajan :

T Natarajan bowled well in his comeback game for SRH against RR. He picked up 2 wickets in that match. He has 22 wickets in 25 Ipl matches. Natarajan is a decent budget pick.

Umran Malik :

Umran Malik is one of the fastest bowlers around and will be exciting to watch. He can trouble batting units by himself, which we saw in the last game, where he bagged 2 wickets. Expect him to come good yet again.

Ravi Bishnoi :

Ravi Bishnoi is a right-arm leg-break bowler and his ability to bowl at any stage during the game made him an indispensable pick for this match. He has struck 2 wickets at an economy of 6 in the last match against CSK.
