The Women’s T20 Challenge 2022 will come to an end on Saturday as Supernovas will face Velocity in the finals of the tournament. Supernovas, the inaugural champions, qualified for their fourth final in the Women's T20 Challenge and will be hoping to win their third title on Saturday at Pune's MCA Stadium. Supernovas benefitted greatly with a 49-run win against the defending champions Trailblazers in the first game of the season and even though they lost their second game against Velocity, their NRR remained positive, enough for them to qualify for the final.
Velocity have probably been the best team in the competition. Even though they lost their last game against the Trailblazers, if any team could chase down a total of 190, it was Velocity and the likes of Shafali Verma, Kiran Navgire and Laura Wolvaardt tried their best, however, they fell short by 16 runs. The last time these two teams met, Shafali and Wolvaardt's half-centuries helped Velocity chase down the target of 151 runs and will hope to win their maiden trophy in what is probably the last edition of the tournament before the Women's IPL.
