Pitch Report :

The pitch at the Providence Stadium is a balanced track. The new ball comes nicely onto the bat and the batters can play their strokes freely. We might see spinners come into play in the latter stages of the game but overall it's a good surface to bat on. However, the pitch is expected to help the batters while the bowlers might have to vary their line and lengths to put a stop on the flow of runs.

The average first innings score here is 170 runs.

The temperature is expected to hover around 28°C on the Thursday with 85% humidity and 20 km/hr wind speed. There are 30% chances of rain during the game.

Preview :

West Indies will be facing Bangladesh in the series-deciding third T20I at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Thursday, July 7. This will be a must-win encounter for both sides. If the West Indies win, they seal the series while a victory for Bangladesh would mean that the series ends in a stalemate. The Windies are currently 1-0 up in the series having registered an impressive 35-run victory in the last game.

West Indies not only needed a strong middle-order player but also a solid captain. As apparent from this ongoing series against Bangladesh, they seem to have covered all their bases with the youngsters and experienced pros firing alike.

Although West Indies didn't end up winning the first one as rain played spoilsport, they would be pretty happy with the performance they managed to put out. They were well in business with Bangladesh 8 down for 105 batting first, but the chase never got on as the match was tied. In the second match though, West Indies showed their potench and romped past Bangladesh in a fantastic manner.

On paper, West Indies have a side full of T20 stars who all can take the game away from even the best. They are equipped well in both departments of the game and taking on them is not going to be easy.

Bangladesh's rise in international cricket was exemplary but they have kind of stalled with no real wins coming in for them in the last few years. They have been glorious in patches but they have lacked consistency big time. One would imagine the shortest format of the game to be their best format, but that hasn't been the case either.

In this series up until now, Bangladesh have been terrible and would want to make a mark before the series gets over. They do have some excellent names in their lineup but none of them have so far managed to step up in the series so far. They have also struggled to cope up with the conditions and adapting quickly is something that they would want to learn going forward.
