For the first time, West Indies are featuring in the Qualifiers of the T20 World Cup because of their rankings. Despite having big players in their Arsenal they got early in the last year’s T20 World Cup, finishing 5th in the Group 1 standings. It’s a new look side with a lot of fresh faces. Nicholas Pooran will lead the side in this T20 World Cup and Rovman Powell will be his deputy. Two-time World Cup winner, Johnson Charles has been rewarded a place for his heroics in the CPL 2022. Yannic Cariah has earned his maiden World-Cup call for his consistent domestic performances. Jason Holder and Evin Lewis are the other experienced players in the squad.

Scotland on the other hand, are still yet to make their name on the biggest stage. They finished at the bottom of the Group 2 standings in the last edition of the T20 World Cup held in UAE. They lack match experience as they have played only 2 T20Is this year and lost both of them. Richie Berrington’s captaincy skills will be tested for sure in this competition.
