Preview :

West Indies and Zimbabwe will play the 8th match of the T20 World Cup 2022 on Wednesday October 19 at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Both teams have had a contrasting start to the tournament. West Indies lost their opening game against Scotland by 42 runs. They were never in the game either with the bat or ball. Firstly, the bowlers conceded 160 runs, and then the batters were bundled out for just 118 runs. Jason Holder was the lone warrior for the team as he shined with both bat and ball. Apart from him, none of the batters managed to score over 20 runs. The team contains several players who had a great time in the recently concluded CPL and a similar performance was expected from them in this game. However, the performance in the first game has now made this a do-or-die game for the most successful team in T20 World Cup’s history.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, returned to the tournament after failing to qualify last year. Sikandar Raza, who has been in great form this year continued his dream run in the last game against Ireland and scored 82 runs out of the 174 runs that Zimbabwe posted on the board. The bowlers restricted Ireland to just 143 runs and handed the team a win by 31 runs.

Brandon King :

Brandon King is a quality top order batsman and plays his shots freely. He can score quickly without taking many risks and becomes a threat for any side and he was smashed 64 off just 45 balls in warm up match and 17 runs in the last match. He was the highest run getter in recently concluded CPL with 422 runs in 12 innings. It is still early days for him in the international circuit but he has managed 671 runs at an average of 24.85 and will look to matured batter, punt pick.

Shamarh Brooks :

Shamarh Brooks is a talented top order batter and looking good against strong Indian bowling unit, scored 105 runs in three matches in last series against New Zealand and he has also scored a total of 218 runs at an average of 21.80 in 11 matches with a recent improvement in form that he was batted magnificently in CPL smashed a century against Guyana Amazon Warriors, which should keep them in contention for this match.

Rovman Powell :

Rovman Powell looking in good touch from the CPL matches were he's scored 281 runs at an average of 35.12, he has improved his game leaps and bound. His performance in international games has been good as well. Powell is a player who can do serious damage even if he plays lesser balls thus he is a very good pick for fantasy teams.

Craig Ervine :

Craig Ervine has been looking to leading from front, he's most reliable batter from Zimbabwe and he's in also looked in good form in T20 WC qualifiers recently. He'd a good T20 series against Bangladesh scored 46 runs in 3 matches. Kyle Mayers :

Kyle Mayers is a fantastic batting all-rounder who can able to change the game on his own. He was superb in the recent CPL season scored 366 runs also picked up 8 wickets in 12 matches. He has featured in just 17 T20Is thus far and has managed 389 runs in that time. But he was looking good in T20 series against Australia recently scored 44 runs in two matches. Jason Holder :

Jason Holder is an experienced allrounder who had a great CPL season recently were he's scored 155 runs and also picked up 17 wickets in just 12 matches and he was showed his all-round skills in the last match scored 38 runs & scalped two wickets. Holder is an experienced Allrounder who has been effective in both the departments for West Indies. He releases the ball from a good height and can generate extra bounce.
