Zimbabwe and the Netherlands will take center stage for the final game of the three-match ODI series on Saturday, March 25, at Harare Sports Club. Both teams have given their all on the cricket field, and fans have been blessed with two absolute nail-biters.
Riding on a breathtaking century by Teja Nidamanuru (110* runs off 96 balls), the Netherlands won the first ODI by three wickets. But Zimbabwe showed nerves of steel in the second match and pipped the visitors by a run. With the series on the line, the two sides would look to be at their best, and yet another exciting contest could be on the cards.
The series has been an exciting one thus far. Both teams have everything to play for going into the deciding game of the series. Teja Nidamanuru became the Player of the Match after the Dutch beat the hosts by three wickets in the series opener.
But thereafter he bagged a golden duck as Zimbabwe won the second game by a run to draw level in the series. Wesley Madhevere was the star of the show for them after he became only the third Zimbabwean bowler after Eddo Brandes and Prosper Utseya to bag an ODI hat-trick.
