Dhoni's Statement

When Dhoni was asked if he was enjoying his swansong tour, he said, "You have decided that this is my last IPL, not me." Dhoni walked out to thunderous applause from the Lucknow crowd on Wednesday. The 41-year-old has been receiving overwhelming support from all quarters in this edition of IPL, with many believing that this could be his last match as a player.

The former India skipper is known for his succinct responses whenever he is asked about his future in the IPL. Dhoni had replied 'definitely not' when Danny Morrison asked him ahead of CSK's final match of the 2020 season if this was his last yellow game.

He said, 'I would just say thank you for the support, they came in large numbers. Most of these players will come next time in KKR jerseys. They're trying to send me off, thank you very much to the audience.
