The Indian Premier League (IPL) has completed the journey of 1000 matches in 15 years. On Sunday, the historic 1000th match was played between the tournament's first champion Rajasthan Royals and 5-time champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which Mumbai won by hitting 3 consecutive sixes in the last over.

2,94,833 runs have been scored in one thousand matches of the tournament. In these, 1,474 players got a chance, who hit 26,711 fours and 11,302 sixes. Won 5 titles and maximum 135 matches Mumbai Indian was the most successful team of IPL. The team won the maximum 135 matches. Not only this, Mumbai has also won 5 titles. Chennai has been the second most successful team in the league with 4 titles after Mumbai. The team has won 126 out of 218 matches. Kochi Tuskers Kerala is at the bottom of this win-loss table. Dhawan has scored 6506 runs in 211 innings of 212 matches at a strike rate of 127.12. Dhawan has 2 centuries and 49 half-centuries to his name.

Most wickets in Bravo name, Chahal is not far behind

Former CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is the first name in the list of bowlers who have taken the most wickets in IPL. The Caribbean bowling all-rounder has taken 183 wickets in 158 innings of 161 matches at a strike rate of 17.05. He spent 4359 runs in 516 overs with an economy of 8.38.

Most centuries in Gayle

Chris Gayle has scored the most centuries in the tournament. He has registered 6 centuries to his name. Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler are chasing Gayle's record with 5-5 centuries each. Now it will be interesting to see who equals Gayle's record and who breaks his record.

Amit Mishra is the king of hat-trick

Whenever hat-trick is discussed in IPL, the name of spinner Amit Mishra comes first. Mishra has taken hat-trick thrice in the league. He holds the record for most hat-tricks in the league. Yuvraj Singh name comes after Amit Mishra among bowlers who take hat-trick. Yuvi has taken two hat-tricks in the league.

• Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only player to captain a team in more than 200 matches. He has so far captained CSK in 205 matches. He won the team 124 matches, while the team lost in 80. One match remained inconclusive.

• Virat Kohli is the only player to play IPL from the same team from the first to the 16th season. He has played 231 IPL matches from RCB, he could not be a part of the team in only 4 matches due to injury or other reasons. After Kohli, Kieron Pollard of Mumbai Indians has played 189 matches from one team. Although he has played only 13 seasons for the team, he has been a part of all 5 title wins.
