BCCI has said that for the post of selector, it is necessary to have the experience of playing seven Tests and 30 first-class matches. Applications for this post can be filled till 25 January.
Changes may be seen in the main selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). BCCI has invited applications for the post of national selector. The selection committee led by Ajit Agar has a total of five members. At present there is not a single place vacant. At the same time, the tenure of any member has not been completed. In such a situation, it is believed that someone from the current selection committee may be shown the way out.
BCCI has said that for the post of selector, it is necessary to have the experience of playing seven Tests and 30 first-class matches. Applications for this post can be filled till 25 January. Interested persons will have to apply by 6 pm on 25th. After receiving the applications, BCCI will call the shortlisted applicants for interview. As of now, no date has been fixed for the interview.

Ajit Agarkar is the chief selector in the current selection committee. He is accompanied by former opener batsman Shiv Sunder Das, former fast bowler Subarto Banerjee, Salil Ankola and former batsman Sridharan Sharath. Except Agarkar, one person may be discharged.
The selection committee has selected the team for the first two Test matches of the five-Test series against England. After this, selection for three test matches is yet to be done. After that the selectors will have to select the team for the T20 World Cup in the middle of the IPL.
