Ashes 2025: Australia Unchanged For 2nd Test In Brisbane

After continuing concerns over the health of important pacers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, Australia has decided to stick with their current lineup going The second test will be played in Brisbane Cricket Stadium, Brisbane, from 4th - 8th December.  The selectors decided to keep the same lineup that played in the previous game because both fast bowlers, who have been out due to injuries, have not yet returned to full match fitness.

Pat and Hazelwood Still Miss, Due To Injury

Australia's trust in their present team, especially their powerful bowling attack spearheaded by Mitchell Starc and backed by up-and-coming players who have emerged in recent weeks, is reflected in the choice. Given the fact that Cummins and Hazlewood's absence is important, the team management is anxious to rush their return, particularly given their busy upcoming foreign trip. 

Cummins has been making good progress while recovering from a small back problem, but he is still not at the level of intensity needed for a five-day test. 

Hazlewood, who has also been closely watched due to side soreness, will require more time before he can quickly resume the workload expected of a frontline worker.
