Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin completed his 500 wickets in Test cricket. He has become only the second Indian bowler to reach this milestone. Before him, Anil Kumble had achieved this feat in 105 matches.

Ashwin has reached 500 wickets in the 98th Test. He is second in the list of bowlers who have taken 500 wickets in the fewest Tests. Only Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan had completed 500 wickets in fewer matches (87).
