Asia Cup 2025 3rd Match: Bangladesh Won By 7 Wickets, Litton’s 59

On 11th September, in the third match of the Asia Cup 2025 cricket, Bangladesh and Hong Kong played in Abu Dhabi. Bangladesh beat Hong Kong by 7 wickets. Bangladesh captain Litton Das scored 59 runs. Hong Kong lost its two back-to-back matches.

After losing the toss, Hong Kong came for the bat, and Hong Kong lost their first wicket, openers Ashy Rath, with the score of 7. After losing wickets frequently, Nizakat Khan held his own well and struck 42 off 40 balls. After 34 balls, Zeeshan Ali scored 30. Yasim Murtaza contributed with a score of 28 off 19.

 

For Bangladesh's bowling performance, Tanzim Hasan Sakib scored 21 runs while taking two wickets. Additionally, Taskin Ahmed got two wickets (2/38). 2/31 was picked up by Rishad Hossain.

Chasing 144: Bangladesh achieved the target in 17.4 overs; victory with 14 balls left. The chase was led by skipper Litton Das, who hit six fours and one six in an easy 59 off 39 balls. Unbeaten at 35 off 36 balls is Towhid Hridoy. He offered strong help. With 19 off 14, Parvez Hossain Emon got off to a strong start. 14 was added by Tanzid Hasan.

 

Do or Die Situation for Hong Kong

After this loss to Bangladesh, Hong Kong lost back-to-back 2 matches, first against Afghanistan, which was won by 94 runs. And now lost by 7 wickets against Bangladesh. 

 

The final group stage match of Hong Kong will be played against Sri Lanka on 15 September in Dubai. If Hong Kong loses its last group stage match, then it will become the first team to be eliminated from the tournament.
