Bangladesh To Play White Ball Cricket Against Afgh

On 19 July, the Bangladesh Cricket Board is planning to tour in white ball cricket against Afghanistan in early October in the UAE. Three T20Is will be played in this tour plan.&nbsp;

Both teams see this series as a vital build-up to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka.

<h2>Early Tour Of Both Teams Postponed</h2>

In July 2024, Bangladesh was originally scheduled to travel to Afghanistan, playing three ODIs, three T20Is, and two Test matches. Bangladesh requested that the tour be postponed because of workload problems. Due to scheduling and weather issues, a later plan for a white-ball series in Greater Noida in July and August of 2024 was also canceled.

Both teams played a three-match ODI series in the United Arab Emirates in November 2024, with Afghanistan winning 2-1. Now that the leg is over, the focus is on rescheduling the remaining T20I series.

<h2>Teams India Leave For England&nbsp;</h2>

After a press conference on Thursday(5 June 2025) between head coach Gautam Gambhir and Shubman Gill, the team departed for England. Pictures of the players who traveled were made public by the BCCI. Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant were spotted traveling, while Sai Sudharsan, who was just called up, also left with the side.&nbsp;

Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, and others were also apprehended as they were departing on the trip. Kuldeep Yadav also flew with the squad shortly after his engagement, though this was not confirmed.

Other players, including Abhimanyu Easwaran and Akash Deep, are now in England for the India A trip. Currently, the India A team also includes Nitish Reddy, Karun Nair, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. In addition, Nair produced an incredible double hundred against the England Lions in the inaugural unofficial Test match.
