BCCI announces a ₹45 lakh per match Test Cricket incentive for the India men

With the goal of giving renowned players stability and financial prosperity, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced on March 9 that the 'Test Cricket Incentive Scheme' for Senior Men will begin.
The 'Test Cricket Incentive Scheme' will provide athletes with an extra reward system, worth ₹15 lakhs, on top of the current match money for Test matches, starting in the 2022–2023 season.
Taking to X, BCCI secretary Jay Shah wrote, “I am pleased to announce the initiation of the 'Test Cricket Incentive Scheme' for Senior Men, a step aimed at providing financial growth and stability to our esteemed athletes. Commencing from the 2022-23 season, the 'Test Cricket Incentive Scheme' will serve as an additional reward structure on top of the existing match fee for Test matches, set at INR 15 lakhs."
Details indicate that an incentive payment of ₹30 lakh would be given to a player who plays in more than half of the matches during a season, while an additional payment of ₹45 lakh will be given to a player who plays in more than 75% of the games.
Members of the size who do not play, however, will receive 50% of the total payment.
A member of the playing XI receives ₹15 Lakhs every game in addition to their annual central retainer payment. According to cricket.com, athletes can now earn a sizable sum of money despite being in a lesser retainer band thanks to the recent change.

On March 9, at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala, India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs. In addition, India prevailed 4-1 in the series.
