BCCI to form a working group for ODI World Cup

The BCCI will form a working group for the Special General Meeting of the ODI World Cup to be held on May 27. BCCI has planned to form a working group before the World Cup.
With more than four months to go for the October-November World Cup, fixtures are yet to be announced with Pakistan yet to confirm their participation in the marquee tournament.

Because India is going to host the ODI World Cup 2023. An internal working group on hosting the World Cup. Other matters up for discussion in the meeting include the constitution of the Women's Premier League Committee and the Infrastructure Development and Subsidies Committee, which need ratification by the SGM to be included in the BCCI sub-committee.
Also on the agenda are discussions on ratification of its sexual assault prevention policy and guidelines to be issued for the appointment of physios and trainers in state teams.
The board has already allocated funds for upgrading the infrastructure of all the stadiums that have become void for the ODI World Cup. Most of the sites need immediate improvement and need to be made more visitor friendly.
An important aspect will be the appointment of physios and trainers for the state units and the BCCI would like to associate NCA-certified support staff with the domestic teams for a uniform fitness module and injury management programme.
