From Delhi to Mumbai, celebrations went on for 16 hours to welcome Team India
4th July was a memorable day for Indian cricket fans. The T20 World Cup returned home. Team India, which won the first T20 World Cup title in 2007, returned with the trophy for the second time. Then what happened...Indian fans, who were waiting for this trophy for 17 years, came out on the streets from Delhi to Mumbai to welcome their favorite stars. The celebration of this victory lasted for 16 hours.
When Rohit's brigade landed at Delhi airport from Barbados at 6.10 am on Thursday, fans came out in large numbers to welcome them. After this, the team met PM Narendra Modi. Then the team reached Mumbai. Fans stood on the road for 6 hours in the rain at Marine Drive to welcome them. The celebration continued till 10 pm.
The condition of many fans deteriorated during the 16-hour celebration. Some were also injured. Mumbai Police said that 10 fans were taken to the hospital for treatment, out of which two people have been admitted. One has a fracture and the other is having trouble breathing.
Started with respect in Mumbai...BCCI gave 125 crores
BCCI honored the players of World Champion Team India at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Here Board President Rojan Binny and Secretary Jay Shah handed over a cheque of Rs 125 crore to the team. During this, Indian players were seen dancing to the drums at Wankhede.

Victory parade on Mumbai's Marine Drive, lasted for 40 minutes, more than 3 lakh fans arrived
At the felicitation ceremony, Rohit said, 'Mumbai does not disappoint anyone.' The reason for this was that fans started gathering at Marine Drive from 2 pm to welcome Team India. More than 3 lakh people were present on the 3 km long Marine Drive. They climbed on buildings, trees, buses and vehicles.
When the victory parade started here, the Indian star also did not disappoint the fans. Be it Rohit or Virat, Bumrah or Hardik, everyone was dancing with joy in the 48-minute victory parade. They were not able to stop themselves seeing the crowd. Rahul Dravid, who was seen in a serious mood, was also seen chirping with joy. He was greeting people by raising his hand. He hugged Rohit, Virat and Hardik on the open roof bus.
Celebration in New Delhi
The team reached Hotel ITC Maurya from the airport. Here, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya along with captain Rohit Sharma did Bhangra. A special cake was also cut in the hotel. After this, everyone reached the PM residence at 10.46 am. During this, the players gifted a jersey to the PM, on which Namo-1 is written.
