CSK beat KKR by 49 runs at Eden Gardens, top the points table

Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 49 runs in the 33rd match of IPL 2023 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday. Chasing a target of 236, KKR reached 186/8 in 20 overs despite half-centuries from Jason Roy (61) and Rinku Singh (53*). Meanwhile, Mahesh Thekshana and Tushar Deshpande picked up two wickets each for CSK. Initially, CSK reached 235/4 in 20 overs, riding on Rahane's 29-ball 71 half-centuries, studded with six fours and five sixes, helped CSK thrash KKR. Meanwhile, Conway scored 56 off 40 balls, including four fours and three sixes. Dube was also in excellent form as he scored 50 off 21 balls, hitting two fours and five sixes. For CSK's bowling department, Kulwant Khejroliya took two wickets, and Suyash Sharma and Varun Chakraborty took one wicket each.
