Charismatic cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been elected as the captain of the all-time great Indian Premier League (IPL) team. The Team was selected to celebrate the success of the world's most popular T20 league, launched in 2008. On February 20, 16 years since the first IPL auction, will be completed.
To mark the occasion, the IPL television broadcaster selected the most excellent IPL team of all time with the help of former legendary cricketers and around 70 journalists. Its selection panel included legendary former cricketers like Wasim Akram, Matthew Hayden, Tom Moody, and Dale Steyn.
Chris Gayle In Third Place
Australia's aggressive David Warner and India's great player Virat Kohli were selected as openers, while 'Universe Boss' Chris Gayle has been given the number three position in the batting order. Suresh Raina, AB de Villiers, Suryakumar Yadav, and Dhoni have been placed in the middle order. Surprisingly, Rohit Sharma, who won the title for Mumbai Indians five times, has not been included in the Team.
Rohit has 6211 runs in his name in 243 matches of IPL. He has scored one century and 42 half-centuries. Rohit is ranked fourth among the players who have achieved the most runs in IPL history. Shikhar Dhawan, who was in second place, still needed to improve. He has scored 6617 runs in 217 matches. Virat Kohli is the player who has scored the most runs with 7263 runs.
