India-A defeated Pakistan-A by 7 runs in their first match in the Emerging Asia Cup 2024. On Saturday, Indian captain Tilak Verma won the toss and decided to bat first at Al Amrat Cricket Ground in Oman.

Nehal Wadhera contributed 25 and Ramandeep Singh contributed 17 runs. Sufiyan Muqeem took the highest 2 wickets for Pakistan-A.

Group A has Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. Group B has India, Pakistan, Oman and UAE. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have won two titles each. India has won once.
