But Mohammed Siraj (5/104) of India had a scary spell, particularly in the last session, destroying the lower order and winning Player of the Match.
After India scored 224 and then 396, England was held to 247 thanks in large part to the support of Prasidh Krishna (4/62).
Dramatic Moments & Heroics
Chris Woakes, who had suffered a shoulder injury earlier in the game, was seen in the climax heading out to bat with his arm in a sling. He entered with England needing just eight runs from the final wicket in a one-handed show of bravery.
