Former India captain and the team&#39;s oldest Test cricketer Dattajirao Gaikwad breathed his last at the age of 95. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave this information by tweeting on Tuesday. He breathed his last at the age of 95 years and 109 days.

Dattajirao became India&#39;s oldest Test cricketer in 2016. Before him, Deepak Shodhan was the oldest Test cricketer of India. Shodhan then died in Ahmedabad at the age of 87. Under the captaincy of Dattajirao Gaekwad, Baroda also won the Ranji Trophy by defeating Services in the final in the 1957-58 season.

<h2>Played 11 tests for India</h2>

Dattajirao played 11 Tests for India between 1952 and 1961. He was also the captain of Team India on the England tour in 1959.

This right-handed batsman made his debut in 1952 against England in Leeds. He played his last international match in 1961 against Pakistan in Chennai.
