Gujarat Won By 8 Wickets: Buttler’s 73 Inning, Siraj’s 3 Wickets

In the 14th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by a score of eight wickets on April 2 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB batting lineup struggled against Mohammed Siraj and Sai outstanding bowling

After the loss toss, RCB came for bat, Virat Kohli was among the important wickets that RCB lost for seven runs in their early setbacks. Playing against his old squad, Mohammed Siraj was crucial, removing Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal early in the innings with numbers of 3/19. With a strong 54 runs, Liam Livingstone led the way, helped by Jitesh Sharma's rapid 33 off 21 balls. In their 20 overs, RCB scored 169/8 in spite of their best efforts.

Jos Buttler's brilliant unbeaten 73 off 39 balls, which reached his fifty with a six, was the cornerstone of GT's innings as they chased 170. Sherfane Rutherford added an undefeated 30 off 18 balls, while Sai Sudharsan put in a strong 49 runs. With 13 balls remaining, GT easily reached the goal, finishing at 170/2.
