Sachin Tendulkar has been made the global brand ambassador of the ODI World Cup. The International Cricket Council gave him this honor on Tuesday. The World Cup will start on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Tendulkar will reach here with the trophy. After this the World Cup will start, the first match of the tournament will be played between England and New Zealand. Both teams are finalists of the 2019 World Cup.
Winning The 2011 World Cup Was My Proudest Moment
After being made the global brand ambassador, Sachin said- World Cup has a special place in my heart. Starting from being a ball boy in 1987, representing the country six times, and winning the 2011 World Cup was my proudest moment. So many teams and players are going to fight strongly in the World Cup being held in India. I am excited about this tournament. I hope this edition will inspire children to come into sports and represent the country.
